My wife and I had a great day out with discover detecting team. Being complete novices was no problem as they explained how to use the detector and recognise the good and bad sounds. Breakfast and lunch were excellent and the setting could not have been more beautiful. I cannot rate this high enough, if you are looking for a great day out and a unique experience this is it! Thanks to Andrew and James for the instructions and advice and the Castle team for keeping us fed and watered so well.

We did the day on the 14th July me and two friends, we drove in and instant wow factor set in the most stunning location and greeted with a smile and a friendly bunch of instructors the email we received with the details to find it was fantastic. we started the day off with a good old bacon buttie and warm drinks (good cup of tea can't beat it) everything was explained in good detail in a fun but instructive manner. we then got to go looking for the buried treasure I won't go into too much detail and spoil the day but I highly recommend anyone to go do this with the team at discover detecting... we had the best day ever thank you all so much can't recommend this enough.

Attended the latest experience day and wow! Excellent organisation from start to finish. We were all looked after very well and the day was tailored to individual needs. Plenty of teas and coffee and breakfast and lunch were great. I recommend the home made flapjack. Great care was taken to make sure that everyone was able to successfully use the equipment provided and we could all go at our own pace. Can’t recommend enough.

What a fabulous day it was for everyone last Sunday. Our hosts Andy, James Pat and Tash were professional, friendly, helpful and approachable; breakfast, lunch and afternoon cake delicious; the equipment was great; the location a dream and even the weather gods were good to us. For anyone interested in taking up the hobby I would absolutely recommend the Discover Detecting. All you need is to turn up, wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear and be prepared to have fun. The bug has definitely bitten me and the day was worth getting up early for and worth every penny spent. Can't wait to do it again. Thank you so much Team DD.

Fantastic experience! The whole day is incredibly well organised, from the equipment, to the learning, to the cake! Andy and James were brilliant and entertaining guides, the setting of the castle is spectacular, and we all found really interesting items. "I had a great day, especially using my detector over the "test bed" which was incredibly helpful to get a sense for "true" signals. I learned how to ignore fake signals and not to dig out everything. In addition to that I really enjoyed spending time with the guys. Their humour made everybody’s day very entertaining (at least mine)! I don’t think there is much to be improved. It was clear that a lot of effort had been put into the planning of the day."
